Overview
The Ceinture Jumbo’s most unique feature is its octagonal case. Resembling the buckle of a belt (which means "belt" in French), the Ceinture takes the shape of a square with its corners elegantly cut, allowing the watch to command attention despite its seemingly modest dimensions. With its stepped bezel design, the Ceinture deviates from Cartier's signature sapphire cabochon crown, instead incorporating an octagonal crown that sits flush within the bezel — an innovative element known as remontoir imperdable (meaning "captive winding").
Condition
This watch is in exceptional condition for its age and one of the top examples available. Case is unpolished with very minor scratches. Hands retain their bright blue color with no corrosion. Dial is flawless with no cracks. Movement is running well and keeping good time, yet last service date is not known. Strap is the original Cartier alligator leather band with minor wear.
This watch was purchased from the original owner in Italy, and retains all of the original box, paperwork, and strap. It’s a true time capsule from another era.
